Rob Gibson, Pastor

GibsonRob was called as pastor of North Oldham Baptist in August 2005 after serving as our interim pastor. Rob is married to Margaret, who is a soccer mom, cheer mom, and keeps the Gibson household in order. Rob and Margaret came to Louisville in 2002 from Georgia.  Rob is originally from upstate New York, and Margaret is a proud native of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Before moving to Louisville, Rob was the Executive Administrator of a large baptist church in Georgia.  Prior to vocational ministry, Rob had careers in corporate banking and private business.  He is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), St. Bonaventure University (BBA), and has done post-graduate work at the University of Virginia and Georgia State University.

Rob and Margaret have two children, Christopher and Sydney, and as a family they enjoy travel, snow-skiing in Colorado, and outdoor family activities.


John Patrick, Minister to Youth

John PatrickJohn is our Minister to Youth. He teaches and pastors, and recently graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. He graduated from the University of Mobile with majors in Religion and History. John enjoys outdoor activities (especially backpacking), coffee shops, and experiencing other cultures. 


Chris Bartlett, Minister to Youth

Chris, Gen, and Isaiah BartlettChris serves as Minister to Youth. Chris teaches the Junior High Sunday School Class. His wife Gen is a nurse at the University of Louisville Hospital, and Chris is a student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris grew up in New Jersey and Gen in Romania.  They were recently blessed with a son, Isaiah Christopher!


Sheri Hammonds, Children’s Ministry Director

The Hammonds familySheri serves as our Children’s Ministry Director. Originally from Lexington, KY, Sheri is married to Todd, who is a tennis coach. Sheri homeschools their two teenage sons, Austin and Clay. She enjoys walking, reading, and spending time with friends.


Mike Lancaster, Minister of Music

Michael Lancaster and his familyMike is our Minister of Worship and Music. He is also on the faculty of the School of Church Music and Worship at Southern Seminary, where he conducts the Seminary Choir and teaches voice and choral conducting. Mike holds the Bachelor of Music degree from Chapman College, the Master of Music degree from California State University, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California. His wife Linda is a teacher as well, and directs the Academy of Music and Guest Artist Series at SBTS. They have two children, Kevin and Katherine.


Rita Stephenson, Administrative Assistant

Rita Stephenson Rita serves as our administrative and ministry assistant. A native Kentuckian, she is a graduate of Jefferson Community College, with a degree in Business Management. She is married to Robbie and they have two sons, Will and Scott. Robbie is project manager of hospital construction for Kindred Healthcare. Will attends Eastern Kentucky University majoring in music education. Scott attends Jefferson Community College and is taking flying lessons. Rita enjoys quilting, reading, walking, and spoiling her Himalayan cats, Sassy and Feisty.
